You are invited to our first annual Friends of Cedar Crest Fundraising Dinner. We hope you will join us as we celebrate nearly 50 years of Camping and Retreat Ministries in the Tennessee Annual Conference at Cedar Crest Camp and Spiritual Retreat Center December 8th, 2007. Tours of the Campus will be available beginning at 4:00pm and a catered dinner will be served at 7:00pm in our Dining Hall. Your presence and gifts will allow this important ministry to continue. We are asking a minimum gift of $50 per person for dinner. We are asking that reservations be made by Nov 30 by calling the camp at 931-670-3025 or e-mailing umcamp@bellsouth.net.

Summer 08 program dates on web
You are now able to see dates for our Summer 08 programs on our web page. (tnumc.org, click on camping) There are some new programs this year that have never been offered at Cedar Crest before, along with our traditional programs. A Youth Rustic camp (think elementary camp for 6-9 graders) and a Family Camp!
For the first time this year, campers will be able to register on-line and pay for camp either by check or credit card. Registration brochures and on-line registration will begin in January.
Christmas Gift Ideas
Need an easy Christmas gift for someone? Cedar Crest Gift Certificates are available by calling the camp office at 931-670-3025. They are available in any amount and can be mailed directly to the recipient. Gift Certificates are redeemable for any program or event that is held at Cedar Crest. A great way to help someone get to camp next summer!
Make your reservation now for the New Year
Weekends at Cedar Crest are filling up fast! If you or your church are interested in holding an event at Cedar Crest, and want your first choice, you should call and book NOW. The usage of the center has doubled in the past year and several churches have had to go looking elsewhere to hold their event. We don’t want this to happen to you! We have 21 rustic cabins and two winterized lodges for your group to use.
Confirmation Celebration
Mark your calendars for the second annual Confirmation Celebration sponsored by and held at Cedar Crest Camp and Spiritual Retreat Center! Don Washburn will be leading us in exploring the foundations of our United Methodist heritage. There will be workshops on United Methodist History, The Word, and The Journey. The cost this year will be $90 per person and will include the lodging and meals. If your church wants to register a group or needs more information call the camp office at 931-670-3025.
Looking for a summer job?
Applications are now being taken by Cedar Crest for their summer camping staff. This includes positions at elementary camp, youth camp, maintenance staff and lifeguards. Job descriptions and applications can be found on the Conference website under the Cedar Crest Camp information.
